EXPLANATION TO EATING DISORDERS QUIZ

1. People suffering from eating disorders think about their weight throughout the day. They feel preoccupied with food and weight.

2. Vomiting, laxative, excessive exercise and fasting are not healthy approaches to weight loss and are often associated with an eating disorder.

3. Friends and family may feel concerned and frustrated with your decreasing body weight. You may feel like you are locked in a power struggle with them.

4. Binge eating alone and eating very little or not at all around others is a warning sign.

5. Feeling guilty about eating almost anything becomes a chronic concern.

6. Eventually victims feel out of control about food and life.

7. Frequent weight gains or weight losses only lead to more frustration.

8. People with eating disorders withdraw from friends and family and work out elaborate plans to hide their actions and feelings.
